Diesel oil is a complicated combination created by distilling crude oil. It contains hydrocarbons with carbon numbers essentially ranges C9?ôC20 and boiling points ranging from 163?ô357??C (325?ô675??F).
Diesel fuel, like gasoline fuel, is a distillate fraction of crude oil. It is originally straight-run. Diesel fuel manufacturing is similar to gasoline: first distillation, then numerous conversion stages, and final clean-up. Diesel fuel has an exceptional boiling range (between 160 ??C and 371 ??C) and includes more nonvolatile components than gasoline (Table 4). As a result, diesel fuel is applied through spray since it cannot evaporate in the air without causing pre-ignition.
