A fire hose is a hose that delivers water to a fire at very high pressure. It could also contain fire-resistant components. A fire hydrant or a fire engine attaches to a fire hose, and the pressure ranges from 800 to 2000 kPa.
The material used for fire hoses must be designated non-perishable. The hoses have enough length to send a water jet into any location. They should generally not be longer than 18 meters. Fire hoses are kept in a visible spot close to water service hydrants or connections, along with any necessary fittings and equipment.
