To reinstall the Bravo sterndrive unit, use the Mercruiser Outdrive 18-2516-9 Seal gasket. This gasket seals the gap and ensures a tight seal. They are resistant to oil, water, and saltwater and are designed to withstand harsh sea conditions. The oil comes out of the bellows, sometimes black, from mixing with the grease. The rusting of the bearing may cause by a leak from the drive shaft.
