Above and below the waterline, it forms watertight, weather-resistant seals. Furthermore, its flexibility allows tension induced by shock, vibration, swelling, or shrinking. It reacts chemically with moisture to produce flexible linkages that adhere well to wood, fiberglass, gel coat, plastics, and metals.
