The head gasket squeezed between the engine block and the cylinder head. The head gasket seals in the internal combustion process and prevents coolant and oil from mixing as they move from the engine block to the cylinder head. It permits the vehicle to generate enough power to drive forward while also diverting hazardous gases at a distance from the combustion chamber through the exhaust system. This gasket susceptible to very high temperatures weakens the gasket and expands faster. Expansion and distortion of the cylinder head, compromising its integrity prohibiting the head gasket from sealing correctly. The CYLINDER HEAD GASKET (REC61N-11181-00) provides a leak-free seal and ensures the pressure produced from the sparkplug ignition fuel stays within the combustion chamber.
