A U-bolt is a metal fastener shaped like the letter U. It has a closed clamp with a pin or screw bolt closure that fits across the two ends. The curved shape of the bolt makes it easy to support around pipes or tubing. As a result, U-bolts are commonly used to both support and restrain pipework or tubes.
